YouTube TV could lose all Fox programming, including local channels, if it does not reach a new carriage agreement with the network by 5 p.m. ET today.

Update: Dispute Over. Fox & YouTube TV Sign New Deal

Fox’s threat to pull its programming has hung heavy over the live streamer since the network issued the blackout warning on Monday. Since then, the two companies have not deviated from their public positions which basically blame the other for the dispute.

The loss of Fox would come at a particularly bad time for YouTube TV with college football entering its first full week of games this weekend and the NFL regular season starting next week. One big college matchup in jeopardy: Fox’s broadcast of the Ohio State-Texas game this Saturday at noon.

Update: The FCC May Have Stopped a Blackout

The blackout would not affect YouTube’s showing of Fox’s out-of-market games on the NFL Sunday Ticket.

The TV Answer Man has offered a short-term solution if there is a blackout starting today. But we will continue to monitor this fight and report back here during the day if anything significant changes. We will also have a report on what occurs after the 5 p.m. ET deadline.

Until then, happy viewing and stay safe!
