Does Paramount Plus Offer Dolby Atmos?

TV Answer Man, do you know if Paramount Plus has Dolby Atmos? And if so, what are some of the movies in Dolby Atmos? – name withheld.

 

Paramount Plus, the streaming service, does offer movies in Dolby Atmos. However, you need the streamer’s $12.99 a month Premium plan to watch movies that include that audio feature. The $7.99 a month Essentials plan does not include Dolby Atmos movies or shows.

 

If you’re not familiar with Dolby Atmos, it’s an advanced audio technology developed by Dolby Laboratories. Unlike traditional surround sound systems, which use channels and speakers to create a sense of audio directionality, Dolby Atmos introduces an object-based audio system. This means that audio elements can be precisely placed and moved in a three-dimensional space, providing a more immersive and realistic sound experience.

 

To listen to a show or movie with Dolby Atmos, you will need a TV/sound system that is Dolby Atmos-capable. (See your TV’s manual for more details.)

 

As someone who owns a Dolby Atmos-equipped Home Theater system, I can attest that the technology adds incredible realism to a movie or TV show, often creating the experience that sounds are directly over your head.
