DIRECTV and Amazon’s Prime Video have signed an agreement to allow the TV provider’s business unit to offer Amazon’s exclusive coverage of five 2025 NASCAR races in more than 300,000 commercial venues including bars and restaurants.
The next race that will be offered to DIRECTV’s commercial customers will be this Sunday’s (June 1, 2025) NASCAR Cup Series Race at the Nashville Superspeedway at 7 p.m. ET.
Prime Video is producing the NASCAR races in 1080p HD HDR (High Dynamic Range), the same picture format the company uses for its Thursday Night Football broadcasts. That will deliver a more vivid and detailed picture quality than what you would normally see when NASCAR is on a Fox affiliate which uses the inferior 720p HD.
Here is the schedule of the remaining 2025 NASCAR races that will be broadcast by Amazon and available to DIRECTV’s business customers:
NASCAR On Amazon’s Prime Video
June 1: NASCAR Cup Series Race at Nashville Superspeedway – 7 p.m. ET
June 8: NASCAR Cup Series Race at Michigan International Speedway – 2 p.m. ET
June 15: NASCAR Cup Series Race at Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez in Mexico City – 3 p.m. ET
June 22: NASCAR Cup Series Race at Pocono Raceway in Pennsylvania – 2 p.m. ET
Following Amazon’s races, TNT/Max and NBC will broadcast the remaining races of the season. Since DIRECTV already offers TNT and NBC in its business plans, that means it will provide the rest of the 2025 NASCAR schedule to commercial venues.
Note that DIRECTV residential customers can not see the Amazon races unless they subscribe separately to Amazon Prime.
