Mets vs. Cubs On Roku: How to Watch Today For Free

TV Answer Man, my Cubbies are playing on Roku on Sunday. Do you know how we can watch without having to subscribe? – Talia, Evanston, Illinois.

Talia, Roku this year will stream 18 Major League Baseball games on Sundays (see schedule below), starting with today’s 11:35 a.m. ET contest between the New York Mets and Chicago Cubs. This is the second year in a row that Roku has had the exclusive rights to the Sunday morning/afternoon games. (Peacock had the rights in 2023.)

The good news is that the Roku games will be free. No subscription required nor do you even need a Roku TV or streaming device.

How to Watch Roku’s MLB Games
The games will stream exclusively on The Roku Channel, a free platform available on:

* Roku devices
* Amazon Fire TV
* Samsung TVs (compatible)

You can also watch via TheRokuChannel.com on any Internet-connected device – computers, smartphones or tablets. In most cases, you can cast the stream to your TV.

MLB TV subscribers also get access. But if you don’t have a subscription to MLB TV, no problem. The Roku Channel is free to all.
