The TV Answer Man – Follow me on X
It may be Easter Weekend, but the top streaming services aren’t taking a break. Netflix, Amazon’s Prime Video, Hulu, Max and Peacock will add 34 new streaming releases from April 17-20, 2025. Here are the three must-watch new additions, in my humble opinion.
3 Must-Watch New Streaming Releases, April 17-20, 2025
Oklahoma City Bombing: American Terror – Netflix Original Documentary
Release Date: Friday, April 18
On the day before the 30th anniversary of the domestic terrorist bombing of a federal building in Oklahoma City, Netflix will debut this reexamination of the horrific event with interviews of those who experienced it as well as those who investigated it. The documentary from filmmaker Greg Tillman will chronicle the causes that likely triggered the bomber, Timothy McVeigh, and ask whether McVeigh was part of a larger conspiracy yet uncovered. The Oklahoma City bombing, which killed 168 people, is second only to the 9/11 terrorist attacks as a single event that impacted our culture but so much is still unknown about how it happened. On April 18, Netflix will try to answer those lingering questions.
The Rehearsal, Season 2 – HBO Original
Release Date: Sunday, April 20
How would you explain the humor of Nathan Fielder to a random stranger? Offbeat? Unpredictable? Brilliant? Hilarious? All would apply and you could throw in several more descriptions. The world’s most inventive comic since Albert Brooks returns for season two of The Rehearsal, a semi-reality show in which Fielder puts real people in real situations for unreal results. In season two, the six-episode series will feature the comedian’s attempt at using role-playing to explain the causes behind airline crashes. Yes, that’s right. Airline crashes. For humorous effect. It’s Nathan Fielder, folks. The season two of The Rehearsal will debut on Sunday, April 20 with future episodes airing every Sunday until the season final on May 25. Season one, which aired in 2022, is now available on Max. To learn more about season one, click here.

Law & Order: Organized Crime – Peacock Exclusive
Release Date: Thursday, April 17
The NBC drama moves to Peacock for season five with Christopher Meloni as Det. Elliot Stabler who’s charged with tackling criminal enterprises in the big city. The drama has been in hiatus for nearly a year but when it returns, Stabler will reluctantly reteam with his former partner, Olivia Benson, played by Mariska Hargitay. Dean Norris will also return as a series regular in the role of Stabler’s older brother. Note that the first two episodes will stream on Peacock on Thursday, April 17, with an airing of episode one on NBC on April 17 at 10 p.m. ET. After the April 17 episodes debut on Peacock on April 17, there will be a new episode every Thursday through all 10 episodes of the new season. Seasons one through four are now available on Peacock.
