SNY, the regional TV home of the New York Mets, is now available in market as a direct-to-consumer (DTC) streaming service on the MLB TV app and MLB.TV, the channel announced today.
-
$124.99 for the 2025 season
-
$24.99 per month
No cable or satellite bundle is required. Order the standalone SNY streaming service directly on the MLB TV website.
What’s Included in the SNY Standalone Plan?
The SNY standalone plan does not include a subscription to the MLB TV out-of-market package. However, you can bundle MLB TV with SNY in the New York Mets market for $219.99 for the 2025 season. (You can check whether you are in the Mets’ territory here at MLB TV.)
-
Mets spring training games
-
On-demand team highlights
-
Full 24/7 access to the SNY lineup by Opening Day 2025
SNY says standalone subscribers will be able to watch Mets spring training games as well as view team highlights on demand. By opening day, the entire SNY lineup will be available 24/7 and the current SNY app will be eliminated. SNY’s current subscribers on cable and satellite will be able to use their pay TV user name and password to stream the channel on the new app.
Note: The current SNY app will be discontinued by Opening Day, and all streaming will shift to MLB TV. Existing SNY cable and satellite subscribers can use their pay TV login credentials to access the channel on the new MLB TV app.
Why This Matters For Cord Cutters
The announcement is good news for cord cutters and subscribers to services such as YouTube TV which do not carry the RSN. Major League Baseball offers standalone subscriptions at MLB TV to several other teams without RSN partners including the San Diego Padres, Colorado Rockies, Arizona Diamondbacks, Minnesota Twins and Cleveland Guardians. However, this is the first time that a team carried by a RSN has become available as a direct standalone sub at MLB TV.
