4 Must Watch Shows Coming to Streaming This Weekend: February 20-23

Netflix, Paramount Plus, Amazon’s Prime Video, Peacock, Hulu and Max this weekend (February 20-23, 2025) plan to add 19 new TV shows and movies to their streaming lineups. Here are the four ‘must watch’ new additions, in my humble opinion:

4 Must Watch Shows Coming to Streaming This Weekend

Robert De Niro stars in Zero Day.

Zero Day – Netflix Original Series
Robert De Niro stars as a former president of the United States who investigates the secrets behind a crippling cyberattack while trying to shield some troubling personal secrets. This is De Niro’s first TV series and it’s a particularly interesting choice now since De Niro has been a frequent and outspoken critic of the man who was just elected president of the real United States, President Donald J. Trump. The grand actor tells Netflix’s Tudum that the show serves as a warning that a president in real life should not “play games. Be honest about what’s going on so that the public knows what’s going on.” Zero Day’s supporting cast is also impressive with Angela Bassett as the show’s current president; Jesse Plemons (who worked with De Niro in Martin Scorsese’s Killers of the Flower Moon) as De Niro’s aide; Lizzy Caplan as a New York congresswoman; and Connie Britton as De Niro’s former chief of staff. Debuts on Netflix on Thursday, February 20.

1923, Season two premiere – Paramount Plus original
Harrison Ford stars as the patriarch of the Dutton family who made their TV debut in the smash Paramount Network hit, Yellowstone, with modern day rancher Kevin Costner in lead. In this prequel set in the 1920s, Ford and his wife (Helen Mirren) are ranchers who battle the advent of The Great Depression and other forces (natural and not so natural) that threatened to destroy their land. Season two, which will be the last in the series, debuts on Paramount Plus on Sunday, February 23.

Jack Reacher (Alan Ritchson) is back for season three.

Reacher S3 – Amazon Original Series
Alan Ritchson is back for season three as the man-mountain Jack Reacher, a former U.S. Army military policeman who brings justice to everyday people with his extraordinary skills and stoic demeanor. (Lots of stoic from Jack.) Unlike the Reacher film series starring Tom Cruise, Amazon’s Reacher is closer to the character in the book series upon which the show was based and that seems to play better with Reacher fans.  Rotten Tomatoes, the site which tracks critical reviews, gives the first two seasons a score of 95 out of 100. In season three, Reach will uncover a criminal enterprise while trying to rescue a DEA informant. Debuts on Prime Video on Thursday, February 20. Seasons one and two also now available on Prime Video.

A Thousand Blows – Hulu Original Series
Malachi Kirby stars in this 12-episode series about an illegal boxer who’s recruited to help run an all-female shoplifting ring in the 19th Century. However, the plan hits a roadblock when he runs up against a punishing pugilist played by Stephen Graham. Based on a real story, the Hulu original promises to tap the vibe of the popular British crime drama, Peaky Blinders (PB’s creator, Stephen Knight wrote A Thousand Blows). The show hasn’t been released yet to reviewers but check out the trailer below. Looks awesome! Debuts on Hulu on Friday, February 21.
