August 19-25: Netflix to Add 31 New Titles – Here’s the 3 Most Interesting

Netflix this week (August 19-25, 2024) plans to add 31 TV shows and movies to its streaming lineup. Here’s the three most interesting, in my humble opinion:

Untold: The Murder of Air McNair — Netflix Documentary
Steve McNair was once an elite NFL quarterback, but he now may be best known as the victim of a mysterious murder at the hands of his much younger girlfriend. This Netflix doc examines whether the Nashville police failed to investigate the girlfriend’s ties to some sinister individuals as well as cast doubt on the official motivation for the crime. Debuts Tuesday, August 20.

Fear the Walking Dead, Seasons one through eight.
Netflix just added a slew of AMC-produced show with arguably the best of the bunch being Fear the Walking Dead. The Walking Dead zombie apocalypse spinoff ran eight seasons and Netflix has them all. It’s time to Netflix and Kill, everyone. Debuts Monday, August 19. 

Monsieur Spade: Season 1
This is arguably the second best AMC addition. Clive Owen stars as the fictional detective, Sam Spade (played by Humphrey Bogart in The Maltese Falcon), who decides to retire in the French countryside. However, Spade is pulled back in the game when a convent of nuns is gunned down. Owen (Croupier, Inside Man, Children of God) is one of the most underrated actors of our time and it’s great to see him cook with such a fun character as Sam Spade. Debuts Monday, August 19.
