A New Statement From The TV Answer Man

By Phillip Swann
The TV Answer Man –Follow me on X.

Readers, I first want to thank everyone who has contributed to our site using the Buy Me a Coffee donation service. This has been very helpful and gratifying as I explore ways to continue TVAnswerMan.com despite our continuing deteriorating financial situation caused by Google’s new search algorithms which have devasted small, independent web publishers.

Since my appeal for contributions last month, Google has not changed its stance on favoring large sites in Search, especially ones such as Reddit which have recently signed lucrative marketing partnerships with the company. (The Google/Reddit partnership is clearly more important to Google than even-handed Search results. Reddit just stopped non-Google search engines from even showing Reddit results; only Google can now.)

Consequently, our site traffic continues to be a small fraction of what it once was, which has caused our advertising revenue to plummet.

So I am asking again for you to make a small contribution to our site by using Buy Me a Coffee, which allows you to make a donation from $5 to $25. I understand that even a small contribution can be difficult for some due to inflationary pressures and other economic problems. But it would go a long way to ensuring that I can continue writing articles at TVAnswerman.com on a regular basis as well as answer your questions via e-mail for free. To the best of my knowledge, no one else does that but I want to be able to continue helping you with your TV technology issues.

So, if you can, please make your contribution here. Any donation would be helpful and greatly appreciated. Many, many thanks.
