Charter Communications, and Disney announced today that ESPN+ is now available to Spectrum TV Select Plus customers for no additional cost.

The addition of ESPN+ to the Spectrum Select Plus plan is part of the new carriage agreement the two companies signed last September. The deal, which gives Charter more programming options that usually found in carriage pacts, was signed after an 11-day blackout of Disney channels on Spectrum TV.

ESPN+, which normally costs $10.99 a month, is a streaming service that offers thousands of hours of live sports and original programming, including NBA, MLB, NFL and NHL games. Spectrum TV Select Plus subscribers can activate their ESPN+ accounts using the Xumo Stream Box or any streaming device that supports ESPN+.

“Through our collaboration with Disney we are providing a better experience for our customers,” said Tom Montemagno, Executive Vice President, Programming Acquisition for Charter. “Making ESPN+ available to our TV Select Plus customers allows us to cater to sports fans’ evolving viewing habits with one high-value video package that includes the best of linear and direct-to-consumer sports content.”

Spectrum TV Select Plus subscribers can learn more about how to activate ESPN+ at this Spectrum web page.

As part of the September carriage deal between Charter and Disney, Spectrum Select customers received free access to Disney Plus last January.
