How to Watch the NBA Play-In Tournament On Amazon’s Prime Video; Free Trial Available

TV Answer Man, can you explain how we can watch the NBA Play-In Tournament? Do we need to subscribe to yet another streaming service?!! – Jamal, Sacramento, California.

Jamal, the 2026 NBA Play-In Tournament, which will take place from Tuesday, April 14, though Friday, April 17, will stream exclusively on Amazon’s Prime Video. That means the games will not be available on regional sports networks, TNT, ESPN or anywhere else.

What Is the NBA Play-In Tournament?
The tournament includes the 7th to 10th ranked teams in the Western and Eastern conferences. Two teams from each conference will advance to the playoffs which start Saturday, April 18.

What Is the NBA Play-In Schedule?
Tuesday, April 14: Miami at Charlotte at 7:30 p.m. ET (Elimination game)
Tuesday, April 14: Portland at Phoenix at 10 p.m. ET (Winner gets 7th seed.)

Wednesday, April 15: Orlando at Philadelphia at 7:30 p.m. ET (Winner gets 7th seed)
Wednesday, April 15: Golden State at Los Angeles Clippers at 10 p.m. ET (Elimination game)

Friday, April 17: Loser of Philadelphia vs. Orlando vs. the Winner of the Charlotte vs. Miami at 7:30 p.m. ET (Winner gets 8th seed)

Friday, April 17: Loser of Phoenix vs. Portland vs. the Winner of Los Angeles-Golden State at 10 p.m. ET (Winner gets 8th seed)

Do You Need to Subscribe to Amazon’s Prime Video
The cost of an Amazon Prime Video subscription is $8.99 a month; the full Prime membership is $14.99 a month but you don’t need the full subscription to watch video. However, you can get a 30-day free trial of the full Prime subscription if you’ve never had Prime before, or had not subscribed in the last year.

To sign up for the free trial:

  1. Go to Amazon Prime.
  2. If you are offered a free trial, you will have an option to select Start your free 30-day trial.
  3. Follow the on-screen instructions if prompted.
  4. If you are not offered a free trial, you can still sign up for Prime on Amazon Prime.
