HBO Max this week (March 22-28, 2026) will add 10 new TV shows and movies to its streaming lineup. Here are the two to watch, in my humble opinion:

The Comeback (Season three premiere)
When to Watch: Sunday, March 22 (10:30 p.m. ET)
What Kind of Show: Satire
Who’s In It: Lisa Kudrow

Speaking of comebacks! Lisa Kudrow’s satirical comedy about a one-time sitcom star who’s struggling to stay relevant returns for season three after a 12-year absence. Talk about art imitating life imitating art.

From the World of John Wick: Ballerina
When to Watch: Friday, March 27
What Kind of Movie: Action/Adventure
Who’s In It: Ana de Armas, Keanu Reeves

Ana de Armas stars as Eve, a dancing assassin (she’s a ballerina; no, she doesn’t dance while she’s shooting) in this spin-off from the John Wick vengeance series. Eve’s retribution mission comes after her father is killed by a bunch of Russian thugs. She is so bent on vengeance that she trains for 12 years with the greatest assassins in the world, including old John Wick (Keanu Reeves) himself. As you have probably guessed from my description, Ballerina is no John Wick, but de Armas is immensely watchable no matter what she plays and the action scenes are choreographed by the Wick team. So, lower the lights, and your expectations, and you’ll have fun.
