CBS, ABC, FOX, NBC, The CW and PBS tonight (March 20, 2026) will add 16 shows. Here are the three to watch, in my humble opinion. (All Times Eastern):

20/20 (New episode)
What Kind of Show: True Crime
Where to Watch: ABC
When to Watch: 9 p.m.

The investigative team at 20/20 will get two hours tonight to report on the bizarre case of Kouri Richins who wrote a successful children’s book about coping with grief after her husband died. That may sound like an acceptable method to deal with a loved one’s loss but the cops had another view: They decided to arrest her for murdering her husband! (The things that people will do to sell a book!)

Dateline NBC (New episode)
Where to Watch: NBC
When to Watch: 9 p.m.
Who’s In It: Josh Mankiewicz

Josh Mankiewicz dons the Fedora tonight to investigate the 2023 stabbing murder of Bob Lee, the founder of Cash App. The crime soon took on a tabloid vibe when the crime was connected to an Iranian woman, illicit drugs and wild sexual encounters. (Illicit drugs will tend to do that.)

Great Performances at the Met
Where to Watch: PBS
When to Watch: 9 p.m. ET
Who’s in It: Juliana Grigoryan, Freddie De Tommaso

After the sordid doings on Dateline and 20/20, we need a little TV cleanse, right? So, let’s go with Great Performances at the Met which will air the terrific Puccini’s La Boheme. The opera is a love story between a poet and a frail seamstress which becomes tragic when she dies suddenly. (Wait a minute, are we sure this isn’t the plot of tonight’s Dateline?)
