March 4: Fox, CBS, PBS, ABC, CW NBC Adding 19 New Shows Tonight: The 3 to Watch

The TV Answer Man – Buy Me a Coffee!

CBS, Fox, NBC, CW, PBS and ABC tonight (March 4, 2026) will add 19 new shows to their lineups. Here are the three to watch, in my humble opinion. (All Times Eastern.)

Scrubs (New Season)
Where to Watch: ABC (8 p.m.)
What Kind of Show: Medical Comedy
Who’s In It: Zach Braff, Donald Faison

Since they are in nearly every commercial, it may not seem like Zach Braff and Donald Faison are returning; feels like they never left. But the two actors are back in their ‘scrubs’ in this 10th season revival of the comedy series which aired on ABC from 2001 to 2010. Sarah Chalke, who plays a doctor on the show (but does not star in 3,569 commercials), will also return. In tonight’s new episode (number 3), J.D. (Braff) is irked when he gets bad reviews online (and there’s nothing worse than irk, believe me) while Turk (Faison) teaches interns how to do surgery. (Interns doing surgery; a few patients might be irked, too.)

Abbott Elementary (New episode)
What Kind of Show: Workplace comedy
Where to Watch: ABC
When to Watch: 8:30 p.m.

The mockumentary comedy featuring everyone’s favorite underfunded Philadelphia public school is back with a new episode. Tonight, the school searches for a new gym teacher. If you’ve never seen Abbott Elementary, it’s very funny and it doesn’t matter if you pick up the show in season five; you’ll quickly catch up on the plot lines which are quite familiar to anyone who ever attended elementary school. And with Scrubs generating big ratings for its return, looks like ABC has a must-see comedy hour on Wednesdays.

Nature (New episode)
What Kind of Show: Science
Where to Watch: PBS
When to Watch: 8 p.m.

Nature, which is now enjoying its 44th season, is still one of the most educational (and entertaining) shows around. Tonight, the crew investigates the sacrifices that animals will make to care for their young. For example, spider mothers will give up parts of their bodies as food. Whoa. And you think you’re making sacrifices by driving little Joey to practice today instead of meeting the guys for drinks!
