Netflix, Paramount Plus, Peacock, HBO Max, Disney Plus and Hulu today (March 3, 2026) are adding 15 new TV shows and movies to their streaming lineups. Here are the three to watch, in my humble opinion:

American Idol
Where to Watch: Disney Plus

What Kind of Show: Reality/Competition
Who’s In It: Carrie Underwood, Luke Bryan, Lionel Richie, Ryan Seacrest
If you missed last night’s new American Idol episode, here’s your chance to catch up. The celebrity judges will preside over round three of the wannabes auditions, this time in Nashville. (The show was previously filmed in Hawaii and the move to Music City in February calls into question the judgment of the entire production team.) No spoilers but the judges will trim the contestant list to 30 – and Carrie Underwood is the recipient of some Bronx cheers in Nashville. What did she do to warrant such a reaction? Stream in to find out.

Top Chef (Season 23 Premiere)
Where to Watch: Peacock
What Kind of Show: Cooking Competition
Who’s In It: Kristen Kish (Host)

If you like cooking competition shows – and there are about 458 of them – Bravo’s Top Chef is one of the best. In tonight’s season 23 premiere, the show travels to the Carolinas to find 15 contestants who will compete for a $250,000 prize. (Note that this season’s episodes are 75 minutes long.)

The Bling Ring (2013)
Where to Watch: Netflix
What Kind of Movie: Drama/Satire
Who’s In It: Emma Watson, Katie Chang

In 2008-2009, a group of entitled, amoral, bratty (throw in a few more adjectives of your choice) LA teenagers targeted the homes of celebrities such as Paris Hilton for home burglaries. Over two years, they pilfered roughly $3 million in cash and goods. The story, which perfectly personified the nihilistic culture that had taken root in many upper class communities, is the subject of director Sofia Coppola’s brilliant The Bling Ring. The film, which stars Emma Watson (pictured above), Katie Chang and several other talented young actors, is a cautionary tale about parental indifference and the dangers of social media.
