The TV Answer Man – Buy Me a Coffee!
TV Answer Man, do you know when the US- Canada hockey game for the Gold will be on? I am confused by these Olympics Italy schedules! And what channel will it be on? Peacock? Not a fan of the streaming. – Melanie, Sacramento, California.
Melanie, I hear you. The time difference between the United States and Italy (Italy is six hours ahead of EST in the US) has been baffling to many fans here. And the prospect of watching the USA-Canada Men’s Hockey Gold Medal game has added to their confusion and anxiety. Sports fans will NOT want to miss this one. This is the USA’s first hockey gold medal game in 16 years.
But I have good news for you. Both Peacock and NBC will air the game so you won’t have to watch it on streaming if you don’t want to.
However, here’s the catch: The game will start on Sunday (February 22, 2026) at 8:10 a.m. ET (2:10 p.m. Italy time). So make sure your automatic coffee maker is working; you’re going to need a few cups, particularly in Sacramento where it will be 5:10 a.m. start time.
Both NBC and Peacock will begin the day’s Olympics coverage at 7 a.m. ET so if you’re an early riser, you can catch some pre-game analysis and other related Olympics news. (Sunday is the last day of the 2026 Winter Olympics.)
Melanie, I hope that helps. Happy viewing and stay safe!
