Amazon’s Prime Video to Add 5 New Releases This Week – Here Are the 2 to Watch

Amazon’s Prime Video this week (December 21-27, 2025) will add five new shows & movies. Here are the two to watch, in my humble opinion:

Sinners (2025)
Release Date: Friday, December 26
Michael B. Jordan (pictured above) stars in dual roles as twins who return to their hometown in 1930s Mississippi to combat an evil force (vampires.) Directed by Ryan Coogler, Sinners has been one of the smash hits of 2025, generating nearly $300 million at the domestic box office. And the critics are still raving about Sinners, calling it an exciting and insightful thriller with a horror overlay. I watched Sinners when it first debuted on HBO Max and was absolutely floored at how riveting it was. Michael B. Jordan flashed a Denzel-like coolness and swag that he had never really exhibited before, even in Coogler’s Creed movies. Fun movie!

NFL Christmas Game: Denver at Kansas City
Release Date: Thursday, December 25, 7:30 p.m. ET
Amazon this year gets an exclusive NFL game on Christmas and it features this year’s best AFC team versus last year’s best. Denver (12-2), which now sits atop the AFC West, will visit the 2024 conference champion Chiefs which last Sunday were eliminated from 2025 playoff competition. The Broncos have clinched a playoff spot but could seal the top seed with a win here. The Chiefs will play for pride albeit without QB Patrick Mahomes who injured his left knee in last Sunday’s loss to the Chargers.
