With Christmas approaching, and the cold weather showing up before it, many sports fans are spending more time inside watching their favorite teams and players. So with that in mind, let’s look at the top five live sporting events coming to TV networks and streaming services this weekend (December 5-7, 2025)

1. Big Ten Championship: Indiana vs. Ohio State
Time: Saturday, 8 p.m. ET
Where: Fox, Fox One

Okay, this is an easy pick for the biggest game of the weekend. The Big Ten Championship game. Top ranked Ohio State (12-0) is a 4.5-point favorite to defeat second ranked Indiana (12-0). However, ESPN’s Matchup Predictor gives Indiana a 50.6 percent chance of winning, perhaps because the game will be played at the Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis. My pick is Ohio State; they clearly have the best team in college football this year. By the way, Fox will air the game in 4K on Fox One and select TV providers.

2. The MLS Cup
Time: Saturday, 2:30 p.m. ET
Where: Apple TV (free!)

Inter Miami CF led by soccer legend Lionel Messi plays the Vancouver Whitecaps FC for the 2025 MLS Cup. To watch Messi in the championship game is worth the price of admission, but…Apple TV is actually streaming the game for free! Pre-game coverage starts at 1:30 p.m. ET with the match set for around 2:30 p.m. ET.

3. Chicago Bears at Green Bay Packers
Time: Sunday, 4:25 p.m. ET
Where: Fox, Fox One

The surprising Bears (9-3) invade Lambeau Field to defend their slim NFC North division lead over the Packers (8-3-1). Even more surprising than the Bears: ESPN’s Matchup Predictor is giving Green Bay a 69 percent chance of winning.

4. SEC Championship: Alabama vs. Georgia
Time: Saturday, 4 p.m. ET
Where: ABC, ESPN Unlimited App

The game will pit 10th ranked Alabama vs. 4th ranked Georgia from the Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, Georgia. Georgia (11-1) is a 2.5-point favorite and ESPN’s Matchup Predictor gives Georgia a narrow 51.5 percent chance of winning. ESPN will provide a 4K feed to select TV providers.

5. Big 12 Championship: BYU vs. Texas Tech
Time: Saturday, Noon ET.

Where: ABC, ESPN Unlimited App
Fourth ranked Texas Tech (11-1) is a 12.5-point favorite to defeat 11th ranked BYU (11-1) and a victory by the Red Raiders should put them in a nice spot for the post-season playoff and perhaps a first round bye.
