DIRECTV has announced that it’s added three multiview Sports ‘Mix Channels’ for its Signature plan and Genre Pack streaming customers.
The multiview feature, which has been available on DIRECTV satellite for nearly two decades, enables viewers to watch up to four multiple channels at the same time with the audio highlighted on one channel. The new Sports Mix Channels for streaming include:
Sports Mix 2
The channel, which is on channel numbers 205 and 922, will include ESPN, Big Network, SEC Network and FS1 games. The channels sometimes offer alternative feeds, and rather than having to look for them in the guide, streaming customers can now locate them immediately on Sports Mix 2, a companion to Sports Mix which has been on DIRECTV satellite years and was added to streaming in August.
College Sports Mix
The channel, which is on channel numbers 614 and 923, will include games from the SEC Network, ESPNU, ACC Network and Big Ten Network.
Deportes Mix
The channel, which is on channel numbers 470 and 924, will include games from TUDN, Fox Deportes, ESPN Deportes and TyC Sports.
DIRECTV says satellite customers will be able to access these channels on the DIRECTV app on December 9.
The networks in each Mix Channel are available if they are included in the subscriber’s plan. For example, if the Big Ten Network is in the plan, the subscriber would see it displayed in the Mix Channel.
In August, DIRECTV added five Mix channels to streaming:
Sports Mix
ESPN, ESPN2, FS1, NBC Sports (Signature, MySports)
League Sports Mix
MLB Network, NBA TV, NFL Network, NHL Network (Signature, MySports)
News Mix

Business Mix
Bloomberg Television, Cheddar News, CNBC, Fox Business, (Signature, MyNews)
Kids Mix
Disney Channel, Disney Jr., Disney XD , Nickelodeon (Signature, MyKids)
In September, DIRECTV said, a separate Sunday Sports Mix (CBS, Fox, ESPN and FS1) was added for select Signature Package and MySports customers.
