Amazon to Add 77 New Shows & Movies In December 2025 – Here Are the 4 to Watch

Amazon’s Prime Video next month (December 2025) plans to add 77 new TV shows and movies to its streaming lineup. Here are the four to watch, in my humble opinion:

Sinners (2025)
Release Date: December 26
Michael B. Jordan stars in dual roles as twins who return to their hometown in 1930s Mississippi to combat an evil force (vampires.) Directed by Ryan Coogler, Sinners has been one of the smash hits of 2025, generating nearly $300 million at the domestic box office. And the critics are still raving about Sinners, calling it an exciting and insightful thriller with a horror overlay. I watched Sinners when it first debuted on HBO Max and was absolutely floored at how riveting it was. Michael B. Jordan flashed a Denzel-like coolness and swag that he had never really exhibited before, even in Coogler’s Creed movies. Fun movie!

Merv (2025)
Release Date: December 10
Charlie Cox and Zooey Deschanel star as a separated couple who decide to reunite briefly only to cheer up their depressed dog. The pooch, of course, has another agenda and it’s aimed at a permanent solution. This is a cute concept albeit poaching from the millions of movies where the kid plots to get Mom and Dad back together. But this time, the dog runs the show.

Bullet Train (2022)
Release Date: December 3
Brad Pitt stars in this comedy/action movie about a group of assassins who board a bullet train in Tokyo  with conflicting reasons to kill their marks. The ensemble cast includes Joey King, Michael Shannon, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Sandra Bullock and Brian Tyree Henry. The critical response was mixed but those who liked it, loved it. “Bullet Train is a fun flick, to be sure, reminiscent of director Guy Ritchie’s better crime comedies such as “The Gentlemen” with Hugh Grant. But, as the title suggests, it’s louder and faster,” wrote the New York Post.

NFL Christmas Game: Denver at Kansas City
Release Date: December 25, 7:30 p.m. ET
Amazon this year gets an exclusive NFL game on Christmas and it could be a big one. Denver, which now sits atop the AFC West, will visit the Chiefs which at press time is battling for 2025 playoff survival.
