Roku Offers Howdy, Other Streamers For Discounts
And speaking of Roku, the device maker is now offering its ad-free Howdy streaming service for 99 cents a month for two months (regular price: $2.99 a month). Howdy is a collection of free channels found on The Roku Channel with the ads removed. In other Roku discounts, AMC+ is now $1.99 a month for two months; Britbox is $2.99 a month for two months; Starz is $2.99 a month for two months; Acorn TV is $2.99 a month for two months; and MGM+ is 99 cents a month for two months. Roku has announced that it will sell Paramount Plus for $2.99 a month for two months on November 25. Still no word on whether other top streamers such as Hulu and HBO Max will offer Black Friday cuts, but we are keeping our eyes open. To see the latest Roku streaming discounts, go to The Roku Channel, which is free here to everyone online. The channel is also available on the home page of your Roku devices and TVs. (Also note that we reported yesterday that Amazon is now providing Apple TV for just $5.99 a month.)

Update: Roku is now advertising a Disney/Hulu bundle for $4.99 a month for 12 months. Update: The terms of agreement say the deal doesn’t start until November 24 so it might not be available yet but it’s coming.)
