An Important Update From The TV Answer Man

By Phillip Swann
The TV Answer Man – Buy Me a Coffee!

I want to let everyone know that I plan to stop publishing articles at TVAnswerMan.com on January 1, 2026.

The reason: The Google Search monopoly. Small independent sites such as this one have been deranked on Google Search, making it impossible to generate enough traffic to stay in business. Without the traffic, the site’s ad revenue is far too low to continue.

The only way I can continue publishing is through a subscription model. So I am asking you to become a monthly subscriber via the Buy Me a Coffee site.

If the site receives a minimum of $1,000 in monthly subscriptions by January 1, I will continue publishing – and without any ads. Yes, no ads. (I hate them, too.)

You can become a monthly subscriber at Buy Me a Coffee by clicking on a number of coffees and checking the ‘Make This Monthly’ box. You can also write in a number of coffees (10, 20, etc.) if you would like to make a larger contribution.

I appreciate your support over the years and the only reason that I am still publishing now is your support and kind words. But it’s time to face reality about the business of small publishing.

It’s in your hands. Please become a monthly subscriber by clicking the Buy Me a Coffee link below. Thank you. – Phillip Swann, The TV Answer Man.

I wish there were a way to become a subscriber other than via the Buy Me a Coffee site. Do you offer any alternative method(s) for joining your subscription service? Thx!

I fully support your efforts to stay afloat but it concerns me offering ☕️☕️☕️ and you still quit. Can’t you have a sign up by Dec 15th or so. Then we’d all know if your $$ were worthwhile.

I wish there were an option for a subscription payment other than monthly…at least quarterly, semi-annually, or annually. Just don’t want to deal with making a credit card company payment every month.

I agree with Cmd. Is there a way to subscribe quarterly or yearly. That would be awesome. Although it’s all the same dollars, monthly cc transactions are a pain. I think everybody, that can, are trying to reduce this problem and avoid the monthly thing.

Ditto. Went to subscribe but don’t want to have to make a monthly repayment of $5-10 to Visa. Will be checking back in. If you get a longer subscription option at some point…I’ll be back! Thanks for all the great info throughout the years.

Cool. I’m trying to figure out where and how? Or am I missing in plain sight?
