Amazon’s Prime Video next month (November 2025) plans to add 79 new TV shows and movies to its streaming lineup. Here are the three to watch, in my humble opinion:

Playdate (Amazon Original Film)
Release Date: November 12

Kevin James and Alan Ritchson (Reacher) star in this action/comedy film about two Dads whose kids’ play date turns into a fight for survival when a band of mercenaries decide to attack Ritchson’s character who may be more than your average stay-at-home father. James can do this type of movie in his sleep but it will be interesting to see if the star of Reacher can follow the action/comedy path previously carved by legends such as Arnold Schwarzenegger, Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson and John Cena.

Malice (Amazon Original Series)
Release Date: November 14

David Duchovny and Carice van Houten in this six-episode thriller series about two parents who take on a male nanny (Jack Whitehall) who has intentions beyond caring for their child.

Drop (2025)
Release Date: November 14

Meghann Fahy (The White Lotus) stars as a widower whose first date in years goes south when she suddenly starts receiving threatening text messages. The tension builds when she discovers the messages are coming from someone in the restaurant. Drop is not Hitchcock level, but Fahy is very good in lead and helps makes the film an entertaining and fast-paced 95 minutes. Dim the lights, and your expectations, and you’ll have a good time.
