When Will the Fox One/ESPN Unlimited Bundle Be Available?

TV Answer Man, do you know when we can order the Fox One/ESPN app bundle for less money? – Carl, New Haven, Connecticut.

Carl, Fox One, the new cord cutter app that includes all live Fox channel feeds plus on demand programming, costs $19.99 a month. The new ESPN Unlimited app, which has all the ESPN live channel feeds, on demand show and extra live programming such as Saturday’s Wrestlepalooza, costs $29.99 a month. Purchased separately, the two streamers would set you back $50 which is what YouTube TV (which has Fox, ESPN and 100 other channels) is now charging for each of the first two months of service!

However, on October 2, the two sports streamers will be available as a bundle for $39.99 a month. That will be a 20 percent discount compared to a separate purchase of Fox One and ESPN Unlimited.

Is the ESPN/Fox Bundle Worth Your Money?
I have used both Fox One and ESPN Unlimited since their launch on August 21. The two apps have performed flawlessly and include a huge amount of live and on-demand programming. As a sports fan, you won’t regret getting it, assuming you don’t already have ESPN and Fox in a pay TV package from cable or satellite. If you do, I wouldn’t recommend paying extra for the bundle or purchasing the apps separately. (In Fox One’s case, pay TV subscribers with Fox in their plans already get access to Fox One for free; in ESPN’s case, some pay TV subscribers get free and full access to the ESPN app. See this article for more details on that.)
