Hulu to Add 172 New Titles In November – Here’s the 3 Most Interesting

Hulu next month (November 2024) plans to add 172 new TV shows and movies to its streaming lineup. Here are the three most interesting, in my humble opinion.

Jim Gaffigan: The Skinny (Hulu Original)
Fresh off his headline-grabbing performance at the Al Smith Dinner in New York, Gaffigan will tackle some non-political subjects in this stand-up comedy special including appetite suppressants and raising teenagers in a post-Covid world. Debuts November 22.

FX’s Say Nothing (Exclusive to Hulu)
The nine-episode series (all nine will be available on November 14) will follow four Irish families during the bloody warfare between the United Kingdom and Northern Ireland from the 1970s to the 1990s. Based on a non-fiction book about the conflict, the show undoubtedly will stir controversy as it attempts to explain the how and whys behind the gruesome division of countries that still lingers today. Debuts on November 14.

Ally McBeal – The Complete Series
If you’re under 40, you might not appreciate the impact that Fox’s Ally McBeal series had on the culture in the late 1990s. Starring Calista Flockhart as a lawyer working in a dysfunctional Boston law firm, the show broke ground on the power of women in the workforce while they attempt to balance their maternal instincts. It works as both drama and comedy (but mostly comedy) and the supporting cast (Robert Downey, Jr., Jane Krakowski, Courtney Thorne-Smith, Portia de Rossi, Peter MacNicol et al) is terrific as is Calista in the title role. Debuts November 11.
