TV Answer Man, I hear that Malcolm in the Middle is coming back! Do you know how we can watch the original show on streaming? — Marsha, Brooklyn.

Marsha, Disney announced today that Malcolm in the Middle will return on Disney Plus for four episodes with cast members Frankie Muniz (Malcolm), Bryan Cranston (Malcolm’s Dad, Hal) and Jane Kaczmarek (Malcolm’s Mom, Jane) all signed up for the reprise. There’s no premiere date yet but the limited series will see Mom and Dad demanding Malcolm’s presence at their 40th wedding anniversary party.

Malcolm in the Middle, a Fox comedy which ran seven seasons from 2000 to 2006, featured Muniz as a child prodigy and middle son in a dysfunctional family headed by Cranston’s Hal. The show was ahead of its time for its sharp-edged humor and Muniz breaking the fourth wall to share his comments with the audience, a style that has since become ubiquitous with comedies such as The Office and Parks & Recreation.

So, how can you watch the original Malcom in the Middle on streaming?

Hulu, the subscription Video on Demand service with plans starting at $9.99 a month, has all seven seasons available now. If you have a Hulu subscription, you can start watching here.
