Netflix, Hulu, Max, Amazon’s Prime Video and Disney Plus plan to add 29 new titles this weekend. I have perused the incoming titles and picked out the four you should watch, in my humble opinion. And here they are:

Cobra Kai: Season 6 Part 1  (Netflix Series)
This will be the sixth and final season of the Karate Kid reboot and it will be split into three parts (with a swift karate kick) starting with part one’s five episodes on Thursday, July 18. Ralph Macchio and William Zabka are back in their original roles as karate rivals, Daniel LaRusso and Johnny Lawrence, turned grown men who continue to live out their childhood ambitions through the younger set.

NFL Flag Football Championship (Disney Plus)
Disney+ will stream live coverage of the inaugural event from Canton, Ohio, a 30-game showcase featuring the top 15U boys and 18U girls’ teams competing for the NFL Flag Championship title. Perhaps I’m missing football because it’s June, but this sounds like fun. Debuts Sunday, July 21.

Love Lies Bleeding (2024)
Kristen Stewart stars as a gym manager who falls in love with a female bodybuilder (Katy O’Brian) but her passion soon triggers a web of deception, abuse and murder. The film from the prestigious studio, A24, generated a 94 percent approval rating at Rotten Tomatoes which says: “Lust and violence collide to powerfully pulpy effect in Love Lies Bleeding, a well-acted addition to writer-director Rose Glass’ growing body of exceptional work.” Sounds good to us. Debuts Friday, July 19.

How I Caught My Killer — Season 2 (Hulu Original)
How I Caught My Killer is a true crime documentary series that features cases in which the murder victim left an important clue before dying. You might think that’s just a movie trope, but it really happens. “Whether it’s a fraught letter to a friend, an urgent text message detailing a heated argument, a private diary entry describing a horrible experience, or an ominous social media post revealing a motive for murder, these victims all leave a case-breaking clue that will one day help solve their crime,” Hulu says in a press release for the show. Debuts July 18.
