TV Answer Man, when will YouTube TV let us pick the games we want in Multiview? It shouldn’t be this difficult! — Hank, Dayton, Ohio.

Hank, YouTube TV’s Multiview, which displays up to four channels on one screen, has both excited and frustrated subscribers since its launch in March 2023. It’s been exciting because it enables you to watch multiple games at the same time. But it’s been frustrating because YouTube TV has selected the games on the screen; the subscriber has not been able to choose which channels will appear in the Multiview.

But that’s about to change. Cord Cutter News reports that YouTube TV is rolling out a new feature that will allow the subscriber to make the Multiview selections, albeit from a list of channels selected by the live streaming service. The Multiview customization is already available for some subscribers of the NBA League Pass.

It’s not clear when all subscribers will be able to use it, but a YouTube TV spokesperson tells The Verge that “we hope to gradually bring this to more live sports over the next few months.”

No doubt that the news is of particular interest to NFL Sunday Ticket fans who screamed for Multiview customization during the 2023 season, YouTube’s first as the exclusive carrier of the package of out-of-market Sunday afternoon games.
