Earlier today, we reported that Peacock, the NBCUniversal-owned streaming service, plans to remove 58 movies after tomorrow. Well, no worries, cinema fans. Peacock plans to add 82 new films on Thursday, February 1. Here’s the four best, in my humble opinion:

Glenn Close plays the temptress to Michael Douglas in Fatal Attraction.

Fatal Attraction (1987)
The 1987 drama from director Adrian Lyne that did more to curb adultery than any 1,000 sermons. Michael Douglas plays an attorney whose life is turned upside down when he has an affair with a disturbed book editor (Glenn Close) who’s never met a rabbit she liked. The film is a taut and juicy depiction of what people will do when emotions are stretched and temptation is dangled.

The Dark Knight (2008)
Director Chris Nolan’s angst and adrenaline-fueled drama with Christian Bale as Batman going toe to toe with The Joker, played deliciously by the late Heath Ledger. Nolan, the director of Oppenheimer (debuting on Peacock on February 16), has made a slew of great and good movies but none (even Oppenheimer) are better than The Dark Knight. The auteur shows that superhero films can have as much psychological nuance than any Bergman movie as well as the usual thrills and chills.

Chris Nolan’s Dunkirk.

Dunkirk (2017)
More Nolan. The director’s gripping retelling of the evacuation of British forces from Dunkirk during World War II is a masterclass in tension and storytelling. With its innovative narrative structure, breathtaking visuals, and Hans Zimmer’s haunting score, Dunkirk creates an immersive experience that keeps viewers on the edge of their seats.

The Nutty Professor (1996)
Eddie Murphy’s homage to the original Jerry Lewis 1963 masterpiece with the former playing multiple roles. (For which he should have garnered an Oscar nomination, but that’s another story for another day.)

Honorable mentions to Braveheart, Inception, Glory, Out of Sight and Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy.
