The TV Answer Man – Buy Me a Coffee!
DIRECTV is now offering its MySports genre plan for $49.99 a month for the first two months, a $40 discount over that time period.
The plan, one of DIRECTV’s five genre packages, could be a good addition for this month’s March Madness college basketball tournament. MySports includes CBS in select markets, and the Turner Sports channels, TBS, TNT and truTV. CBS and Turner will share this year’s games.
Other channels in the plan include ABC, Fox, FS1, FS2, ESPN, ACC Network, Big Ten Network, MLB Network, NHL Network, NFL Network, SEC Network and several other national sports channels. Free access to the ESPN Unlimited app is also included. You can see a complete list of MySports channels here. (There is five-day free trial.)

DIRECTV launched genre plans in January 2025. They offer slimmer packages focused on single subjects at prices lower than the traditional pay TV bundle. Other genre plans include ones for News, Kids, and Entertainment.
