March 5: Netflix, Peacock, HBO, Amazon Adding 12 New Releases Today: The 3 to Watch

Netflix, Peacock, HBO Max, Amazon’s Prime Video and Hulu today (March 5, 2026) are adding 12 new TV shows and movies to their streaming lineups. Here are the three to watch, in my humble opinion:

Ted (Season 2 Premiere)
Where to Watch: Peacock
What Kind of Show: Fantasy Comedy
Who’s In It: Max Burkholder, Seth MacFarlane (Voice)
And if you watched the Olympics, you are also probably aware that season two of Ted will premiere this month on Peacock. When the Wicked ads weren’t running, Ted spots were. The sitcom prequel to the 2012 Ted film starring Mark Wahlberg features Max Burkholder as young Mark who brings the foul-mouthed Teddy Bear to life with a simple wish. The TV rendition has won praise from most critics who say it honors the cinematic version with a few twists thrown in. (Season one now available on Peacock; the streamer also added the two Ted films on March 1.)

Vladimir (Eight episode series)
Where to Watch: Netflix
What Kind of Show: Comedy/Drama
Who’s In It: Rachel Weisz, Leo Woodall
Rachel Weisz stars as a bored college professor who suddenly becomes obsessed with a younger colleague (Leo Woodall). The fixation soon turns to fantasy and, ultimately, accusations of misconduct. Weisz says the show will turn the debate over ageism and cancel culture upside down. Sounds intriguing.

The Secret of Skinwalker Ranch (Season 6)
Where to Watch: Hulu
What Kind of Show: Documentary/Speculation
Who’s In It: Travis S. Taylor, Erik Bard
If you have even a scant interest in UFO/UAPs, this one is for you. The History Channel presents season six of The Secret of Skinwalker Ranch, the 500-acre Utah compound where government officials and private contractors purportedly are holding space aliens and their vessels/ships. Is any of it true? Who’s to say but it certainly makes for an entertaining watch. (Just don’t take it too seriously.)
