Netflix, Amazon, Hulu, Peacock Add 11 New Releases Today: The 3 to Watch

Netflix, Amazon Prime, Hulu, Peacock and HBO Max today (January 29, 2026) have added 11 new shows and movies to their streaming lineups. Here are the three to watch, in my humble opinion:

 

Bridgerton (Season 4, Part One)
Where to Watch: Netflix
What Kind of Show: Historical soap opera
Who’s In It: Jonathan Bailey, Nicola Coughlan
Season four of the sudsy British historical romance debuts today will with the first four episodes; episodes five through eight are scheduled for February 26, 2026. Bridgerton (pictured above) is not my cup of tea, if you will, but season four will feature a new mysterious love interest (a maid in a silver mask) for Benedict Bridgerton (Luke Thompson). I’m told this will make Bridgerton’s female fans lose their tea. (Note: The first three seasons are now streaming on Netflix.)

 

The Traitors (Episode 7)
Where to Watch: Peacock
What Kind of Show: Reality/Competition Show
Who’s In It: Alan Cumming
The Traitors, hosted by the mischievously-eyed Alan Cumming (Eyes Wide Shut), is a game show where Z-list celebrities compete for cash prizes by engaging in a Survivor-like game where some participants are secret traitors who plot to ‘murder’ other players. Somehow, by the end of the season, a winner is declared based on whether the traitors stay in the game or not. This season’s celebrity Z-list includes – and you might want to sit down for this – Yam Yam Arocho, Maura Higgins, Donna Kelce (Mom to the NFL’s Kelces), and the alliterative Kristen Kish.

 

NBA: Oklahoma City at Minnesota
Where to Watch: Amazon’s Prime Video (9:30 p.m. ET)
Who’s In It: Anthony Edwards, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander
Amazon has a NBA doubleheader on tap and the nightcap promises to be a high-scoring shootout between two of the league’s best clubs and best scorers, Minnesota’s Anthony Edwards (29.7 points a game) and Oklahoma City’s Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (32 points a game). Oklahoma City is a 6-point favorite to defeat Minnesota at home.
