NBC, Fox, ABC, CBS, and The CW tonight (January 9, 2026) will add 13 shows and episodes. Here are the three to watch, in my humble opinion. (All Times Eastern.)

The Late Show With Stephen Colbert
Where to Watch: CBS
When to Watch: 11:35 p.m.
Who’s In It: Stephen Colbert, Taylor Swift
The chat show is airing a repeat of the December 10, 2025 broadcast in which Taylor Swift was the guest, drawing the Stephen Colbert’s strongest audience among 18-49 year-olds since a post-Super Bowl show. If you didn’t tune in then, Swifties – who am I kidding? – Swifties watched then and they will rewatch tonight. During the interview, the singing sensation names her five favorite songs and which celebrity gave her some valuable life lessons, among other things.

U.S. Figure Skating Championships
Where to Watch: NBC
When to Watch: 8 p.m.
Who’s In It: Amber Glenn, Madison Chock, Ilia Malinin, Misha Efimova
The 2026 Winter Olympics is less than a month away and NBC is whetting our appetite with a three-hour presentation of the 2026 U.S. Figure Skating Championships which will determine who represents the nation in Italy next month. Ilia Malinin, Amber Glenn and Madison Chock are among the favorites.

TMZ Investigates: The Reiner Murders/What Really Happened (New Episode)
Where to Watch: Fox
When to Watch: 8 p.m.
Say what you will about TMZ, but the tabloid TV outfit (led by industry veteran Harvey Levin) has some serious sources in Hollywood so tonight’s investigative report on the recent murders of Rob Reiner and his wife should be revelatory. The Reiners’ son has been charged with the crime, but what led up to the attack and could anyone have prevented it?
