Sling TV, the live streaming service owned by Echostar, has just launched a three-day viewing pass for $9.99. The three-day pass replaces Sling’s Weekend Pass which cost the same.
The change is significant because with a three-day pass that can be used anytime, college football fans can watch this year’s bowl games anytime as well, not just on a weekend. (The 3-day pass, as well as Sling’s $4.99 Day Pass and $14.99 Week Pass, can only be used with the streamer’s Orange plan which includes ESPN.)
The college football bowl playoff schedule this season includes ESPN games on Thursday, January 1, 2026 and Thursday, January 8, 2026. See this schedule for more details.
“At Sling TV, our mission has always been to put the customer first by delivering TV your way, and that means listening when they tell us how we can be even better,” said Seth Van Sickel, Senior Vice President, Sling TV. “Our customers asked for more flexibility, saying they wanted to use their pass when they needed it, not when the calendar dictated. The new Sling TV 3-Day Pass lets subscribers decide exactly when their three days of live TV starts. This change is purely about enhancing consumer choice and ensuring Sling TV remains the leader in providing the most valuable and flexible viewing experience possible.”
Sling TV’s short-term passes has stirred controversy in the industry with both Disney and Warner Bros. Discovery filing lawsuits to stop the feature. Disney lost its bid for an immediate injunction to halt the passes but both legal actions continue.
