Paramount Plus to Offer First Official Streaming-Only NFL Pregame Show

CBS has announced that it will launch the first-ever streaming-only official NFL pregame show on September 7, 2025, the first week of the 2025 NFL regular season.
The show, called The NFL Today+, will be a weekly two-hour program at 10 a.m. ET each Sunday during the regular season. The NFL Today+ will stream live on Paramount Plus, CBS Sports HQ, and the NFL on CBS YouTube channel and will lead in to the noon ET airing of The NFL Today pregame show on CBS.
“CBS Sports pioneered the first live pregame show with THE NFL TODAY decades ago, setting a standard that still shapes pregame shows today,” David Berson, president and CEO of CBS Sports, said in a press release. “With the launch of THE NFL TODAY+, we’re building on that legacy of innovation, now in the digital era, as we connect with the next generation of NFL fans.”
The launch of The NFL Today+ will be another high-profile sports addition for Paramount Plus which just signed a $7.7 billion contract to carry UFC fights starting in 2026. The streamer also carries NFL games via CBS affiliates.
CBS says The NFL Today+ will preview the day’s games, break down key matchups and deliver real-time news and expert analysis leading into kickoff. The show will also provide live look-ins from around the league as well as on-site reports and interviews from the stadiums.
The press release did not say which analysts or announcers would be featured on the show.
