DIRECTV next week will hold a free preview of the DogTV channel for its satellite (but not streaming) customers.
The preview, which will last from Tuesday, June 24, through Monday, June 30, will be available on channel 562.
DOGTV offers programming designed to soothe canine anxiety, particularly when your pooch pal is home alone. The DogTV videos include nature scenes, dog parks and soothing music. The channel’s shows include Paws For Love, The Fascinating World of Color, The Dog Moms and The Dog Chef.
Does DogTV Work?
I can personally attest that it does work. My two dogs, particularly my ridiculously smart and highly energetic six-year-old GoldenDoodle, will sit in rapt attention when DogTV comes on. My four-year-old SheepaDoodle also enjoys the channel, but is not quite as entranced by it. (He has focus issues, folks.)
DogTV is normally available as an add-on service on DIRECTV satellite for $4.99 a month. The first month is free.
