TV Answer Man, does MLB TV have a free trial and if so, do you know how long it goes? Thank you for your updates. – Tony, Las Vegas.
Tony, Major League Baseball’s package of out-of-market games, called MLB TV, costs $149.99 this year or $29.99 a month. If you want to purchase the out-of-market games of a single team, the price is $129.99. With MLB’s opening day this Thursday, March 27, many fans might be contemplating purchasing a subscription to the baseball plan.
MLB TV’s Free Trial Offer
But what if you want to check it out before subscribing? Is there a free trial?
Yes!
MLB.TV offers a seven-day free trial for both its yearly and monthly plans. However, the single-team out-of-market plan does not include a free trial option. (The single-team package enables you to follow a single team without paying the full price for all games and all teams, minus your local teams.).
Note that if you do not cancel prior to the eighth day, you will be billed for the yearly subscription price.
Also, MLB this year is selling standalone in-market subscriptions for several teams including the Athletics, Giants, Padres, Guardians, Twins, Mets, Phillies, Diamondbacks and Dodgers. All of those packages except for the Dodgers have seven-day free trials.
Tony, hope that answers your question. Happy viewing and stay safe.
