Discovery Plus Raising Prices For Both Plans

Discovery Plus, the standalone streaming service for the basic cable Discovery channels, has raised the price of its ads-included plan from $4.99 a month to $5.99 a month, effective immediately for new customers. The ad-free plan is also rising now for new subs by $1 a month to $9.99.

The streamer said existing subscribers will receive 30 days notice of the increase which will be reflected in their next billing cycle around February 7, 2025.

This is the first price hike for Discovery Plus since it raised the rate for its ads-free plan from $6.99 a month to $8.99 a month in October 2023. And this is the first price increase ever for the ads-included plan. The price was $4.99 a month when the service launched four years ago this month.
