YouTube TV is now offering new subscribers a $50 discount on the 2024 Sunday Ticket. However, it appears the discount is only available to people who have never subscribed to the live streaming service.
The $50 discount, which requires you to maintain a YouTube TV sub for $72.99 a month (current rate), would reduce the 2024 Sunday Ticket base price from $349 to $299. YouTube TV says the $50 discount is good until February 28, 2024.

The promo says the $299 price would include the “option to add NFL RedZone to get whip around coverage of every game on Sunday afternoon.” Last year, the NFL RedZone was included in a bundled Ticket plan for $40 more than the base price. However, there appears to be no option now to purchase a bundle of the Ticket’s Sunday afternoon games with the RedZone included.

The TV Answer Man asked YouTube TV’s customer service today if we could sign up for the $50 discount but was told no because we were a previous subscriber. Customer service said there may be a discount later for previous subscribers, but not now. (The customer service team also said there should be an option to add the RedZone to the Ticket plan although we do not see one.)

Last year, YouTube TV’s regular base price for the Ticket was $349 but it slashed $100 off the regular rate in a pre-season sale. It’s unclear if the streamer will offer more discounts later in the year.

YouTube TV is also promoting a $50 discount on the Sunday Ticket on YouTube, which does not require a YouTube TV sub. The regular price is listed as $449 with the $50 discount bringing it to $339, which appears to be a misprint. The $50 discount would actually bring it to $399. It’s unclear if returning Sunday Ticket customers are eligible for the $50 discount on YouTube. Terms of the promotion have not been posted at the Sunday Ticket site.

The YouTube Ticket promotion also says there’s an option to add the NFL RedZone channel but does not explain how. When you click on the ‘Get It Now’ page, it takes you to the NFL’s YouTube page which has no clickable button to order it.

Update: After three chat sessions with YouTube TV’s customer service team, they offered me a $25 discount on the Sunday Ticket if I resubscribe to the live streaming service. They sent me a link to a page that included the YouTube Ticket with or without the RedZone. The RedZone bundled plan is $40 more. Customer service said more details and ordering information about getting the RedZone on YouTube TV may be posted on Thursday.
