FOX, CBS, PBS, NBC, ABC, CW Adding 16 Shows Tonight: The 3 to Watch

The TV Answer Man – Buy Me a Coffee!

CBS, ABC, FOX, NBC, The CW and PBS tonight (March 17, 2026) will add 16 shows. Here are the three to watch, in my humble opinion:

World Baseball Classic: USA vs. Venezuela (Championship)
Where to Watch: FOX
When to Watch: 8 p.m. ET
Who’s In It: Aaron Judge, Nolan McLean

The Mets’ Nolan McLean will start tonight for the USA in the WBC championship game against Venezuela’s Eduardo Rodriguez. You might think the US has the edge but Venezuela has a potent lineup led by Atlanta’s Ronald Acuna, Jr. and Cincinnati’s Eugenio Suarez. Plus, the game will be at loanDepot Park in Miami which means the stands will be packed with horn-tooting Venezuela fans. (Some might be tooting something else, too.)

High Potential (New Episode)
Where to Watch: ABC
When: 9 p.m. ET

What Kind of Show: Drama/Comedy
Who’s In It: Kaitlin Olson
Daniel Sunjata
If you’re looking for a new show to love, check out High Potential, which was just renewed for season three. The show stars Kaitlin Olson as a genius single Mom (don’t all single Moms have to be geniuses?) who uses her exceptional brain power to help the local police solve crimes and Olson (It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia) is very good in lead. Tonight, in a new episode, Morgan (Olson) investigates the mysterious death of a retired astronaut.

RJ Decker (New episode)
Where to Watch: ABC
When to Watch 10 p.m.
What Kind of Show: Drama/Comedy
Who’s In It: Scott Speedman, Jaina Lee Ortiz

Scott Speedman (Underworld, Grey’s Anatomy) stars as a disgraced journalist (and ex-convict; not sure which is worse) who attempts a life rebound as a private investigator in South Florida. The new ABC show has all the earmarks of being written by someone who watched a lot of 1970s/1980s network TV. Handsome guy with checkered past solves cases the police won’t touch in beach community populated by beautiful bikini-clad women. (Magnum PI, Rockford Files, etc.) Who knows? Maybe it’s an idea whose time has come…again. In tonight’s new episode, number three, Deck investigates the disappearance of the son of a wealthy tycoon.
