CBS, Fox, The CW, NBC, & ABC Add 13 New Shows Saturday Night – Here Are the 3 to Watch

CBS, The CW, Fox, NBC and ABC tonight (December 20, 2025) will add 13 new shows to their lineups. Here are the three to watch, in my humble opinion.
Chicago Bears at Green Bay Packers – Fox
Air Time: Saturday, December 20, 8 p.m.
The surprising Bears (10-4) try to hold onto their slim NFC North division lead over the Packers (9-4-1) in this much-anticipated primetime matchup. The last time the two teams met, the Packers won at home, 28-21, and Green Bay is a slight 1.5-point favorite to win tonight at Chicago’s Soldier Field. Even more surprising than the Bears, ESPN’s Matchup Predictor gives the Packers a more commanding 59 percent chance of winning. Jordan Love over Caleb Williams, I suppose.
Kevin Costner Presents: The First Christmas – ABC
Air Time: Saturday, December 20, 8 p.m.
‘Tis the season so buckle up for the annual onslaught of holiday specials; some good, some bad. But this one looks worthwhile. Kevin Costner hosts a depiction of the hardships endured by Joseph and Mary before and after the birth of Jesus. Regardless of your religious views, this also serves as a tribute to all parents who must make sacrifices every day, and sometimes, every hour of the day.
Saturday Night Live – NBC
Air Time: 11:35 p.m.
Okay, SNL isn’t what it used to be, but tonight’s host, Ariana Grande, is a surprisingly versatile performer with unique skills as an impressionist. (Who knew?) Plus, 79-year-old Cher is the musical guest and you don’t get to see that everyday. And if that’s not enough, Bowen Yang says he’s leaving the cast after tonight’s show.
