DIRECTV Stream is offering new customers $30 off each of the first three months of service when they sign up for any of its five programming packages. The discount, which is only good today (May 20) or tomorrow (May 21), is part of the celebration of National Streaming Day, an unofficial industry holiday when companies offer reduced prices.
The discount lowers the price of the DIRECTV Stream base package (Entertainment) from $79.99 a month to $49.99 a month for the first three months. The Choice plan, which includes regional sports networks, is available for $69.99 a month for the first three months compared to $108.99 a month. (The Choice plan actually has a $39 a month savings.) And the Ultimate package, which also includes RSNs, and a larger lineup, is now $89.99 a month for the first three months compared to the usual rate of $119.99 a month.
The Premier plan, which is DIRECTV Stream’s biggest package, is now $134.99 a month for the first three months compared to the usual rate of $164.99 a month and the Optimo Mas is $49.99 a month for the first three months instead of the usual $79.99 a month.
“There’s no better way for DIRECTV Stream to celebrate National Streaming Day than to reward streamers from coast-to-coast with the lowest-ever price for DIRECTV Stream,” said Vikash Sharma, DIRECTV Stream’s general manager. “We celebrate streamers everywhere and make it our mission to bring them the best of live sports, local news, and thousands of movies and TV shows on DIRECTV STREAM.”
Note that regular prices will apply after the three month promotional period is over unless you cancel prior to its end. You also can cancel your subscription at any time. There is no requirement to keep the sub for the entire three months.
