Max Adding 128 New Titles In April – Here’s the 3 Most Interesting

Max, the streaming service formerly known as HBO Max, is adding 128 new TV shows and movies to its lineup in April 2024. Here are the three most interesting, in my humble opinion:

The Sympathizer
Hoa Xuande stars in this seven-episode satirical series as a North Vietnamese military officer who flees to the United States disguised as a South Vietnamese soldier during the Vietnam War. Once there, he starts to spy on a Vietnamese community and reports his findings back to the Viet Cong. But his mission is sometimes derailed by multiple American characters, each played by Robert Downey, Jr. The premise alone makes this one worth checking out. Debuts April 14.

Curb Your Enthusiasm, Series Finale
The 12th and final season of Larry David’s spite series comes to an end this Sunday night (April 7) with the fictional LD standing trial for violating a Georgia election law. The last season has been a set up for Larry to reprise the final episode of Seinfeld (written by Larry and featuring a trial of the four main characters) with likely ‘witness’ testimony from Curb regulars and irregulars over the years. Debuts April 7.

The Jinx, Part Two
The first part of Andrew Jarecki ended with millionaire Robert Durst confessing (sort of) to multiple murders of friends and loved ones. Part two will chronicle his bizarre trial and prison activities, including phone calls he made to associates. Debuts April 21.
