TV Answer Man, any guesses on when Mission Impossible 7 will be available on streaming. I saw it in the theater, but I want to watch it again at home! It was great! — Jason, Topeka, Kansas.

Jason, Mission Impossible: Dead Reckoning Part One, the latest installment in the action/adventure series starring Tom Cruise as secret agent Ethan Hunt, was released in theaters on July 12. Since its debut, it has made roughly $376 million worldwide at the box office. Since the Covid pandemic began in 2020, films are sometimes released on home video a month or less after their theatrical release. However, because of MI 7’s continued box office success, it could be a few months before it’s available for streaming. And perhaps even longer than that. Cruise’s Top Gun: Maverick was not added to a streaming service for seven months after its theatrical debut. If Cruise has any say here – and we know he does — I don’t expect Mission Impossible: Dead Reckoning Part One to hit home video until late this fall.

Another factor: The sequel, Mission Impossible: Dead Reckoning, Part Two is scheduled for release on June 28, 2024. The studio (and Cruise) might want to stage the streaming release of part one as late as early next year to build momentum for part two.

Which Streaming Service Will Offer Mission Impossible 7?

When it is available for streaming, Mission Impossible 7 will be an exclusive on Paramount+. Paramount is the studio that produced the film and so its streaming service will get the benefit of offering it first.

Jason, hope that helps. Happy viewing and stay safe!
