DIRECTV has signed a new multi-year carriage agreement with Cox Media Group, less than two hours before the start of the 2024 Super Bowl broadcast on CBS. The new deal means that roughly a dozen CMG-owned local channels in nine markets will return to the lineups of DIRECTV, DIRECTV Stream and U-verse after an 8-day blackout. The missing channels included two CBS affiliates, in Dayton, Ohio and Seattle, Washington.

“Cox Media Group and DIRECTV have officially reached a new multi-year agreement that will restore all CMG stations on DIRECTV, DIRECTV STREAM and U-verse, effective immediately. DIRECTV and CMG greatly appreciate the patience of their subscribers and viewers,” DIRECTV said in a post on X.

Here are the Cox Media Group network affiliates that will now return to the DIRECTV-owned TV services:

(ABC: WSB) – Atlanta, GA
(FOX: WFXT) – Boston, MA
(ABC: WSOC) – Charlotte, NC
(CBS: WHIO) – Dayton, OH
(FOX: KLSR) – Eugene, OR

(FOX: WFOX) – Jacksonville, FL
(ABC: WFTV) – Orlando, FL
(NBC: WPXI) – Pittsburgh, PA
(CBS: KIRO) – Seattle, WA

The Cox Media Group also owns some independent channels.

Update: DIRECTV says at 5 p.m. ET that the stations are in the process of being returned to the three TV services. The CBS stations, which will carry the Super Bowl, will be returned first.
