Amazon next month plans to add 25 new TV shows and movies to its Prime streaming lineup, including seven originals and five Thursday Night Football games.
The new titles will include season three of Goliath, the Amazon original drama starring Billy Bob Thornton as a down-on-his-luck attorney who fights corporations amid the palm trees of Santa Monica, California. The third installment will feature Dennis Quaid as a billionaire rancher who schemes to steal California’s water. (John Huston wasn’t available.)

Rottentomatoes.com, which tracks critical reviews, gave season two of Goliath a score of 88 out of a possible 100 based on eight reviews.
“Like Amazon’s Bosch, this L.A. crime story is satisfying in its confident approach to a familiar genre,” writes Matt Roush of TV Insider.
“You can see where all of this is going but the joy of Goliath is the way it chooses to get there,” adds Alastair McKay of the London Evening Standard.
Also notable on Amazon Prime in October: Five NFL Thursday Night Football games, including a high-profile match up between the New York Giants and New England Patriots on October 10.
