Netflix next month plans to add 80 new TV shows and movies to its streaming lineup, including 38 ‘originals.’ (Note: Netflix labels a show an ‘original’ even if it first airs in another country, but airs first on Netflix in the United States.)
The new titles will include Our Planet, a Netflix original, eight-part nature series narrated by David Attenborough; Black Summer, a Netflix original sci-fi series that’s a prequel to the Syfy zombie drama, Z Nation; season six of Trolls: The Beat Goes On, Netflix’s original animated kids’ series based on the hit movie; Remastered: Devil at the Crossroads, a Netflix original documentary about the legendary blues guitarist, Robert Johnson; and part two of Chilling Adventures Of Sabrina, Netflix original, darker reboot of the former ABC children’s series. Kiernan Shipka (Mad Men) takes over for Melissa Joan Hart in the title role.
Also notable in April: All the President’s Men, the Robert Redford-Dustin Hoffman movie about the two Washington Post reporters who broke the Watergate story; and Bonnie and Clyde, the 1967 classic drama starring Warren Beatty and Faye Dunaway as the two 1930s era bank robbers.
