Does Netflix Carry Porn?

Q. I would prefer you not use my hometown for this question, which is, does Netflix carry adult titles. You know, porn movies. I love Netflix and I think I would marry it if it did! — Tony, hometown withheld.

Tony, I would suggest you try Match.com, or even Ashley Madison, before deciding to marry a video business, even if it fulfilled your apparent desire. But that said, let me get to your question.

The answer is no. Netflix does not carry porn movies, or adult titles, if you prefer that less offensive-sounded moniker.

There are many reasons for this, but the most obvious one is that Netflix considers itself a video service for the entire family. If it suddenly included a category for films such as Stormy’s Secret starring the ubiquitous Stormy Daniels, I suspect that many Moms and Dads would cancel their subscriptions faster than…well, I’ll just leave it at that.

However, while Netflix does not partake in XXX-rated material, it does offer some steamy fare. In fact, if you type in the word, ‘steamy,’ in the Netflix search box, you’ll see listings for such risqué titles as Below Her Mouth (pictured above) (lesbian drama), Blue Is the Warmest Color (more lesbian drama), and Princess Girl (even more lesbian drama).

I don’t want anyone to think that Netflix’s racy movies are all lesbian titles, but there seems to be quite a few for some reason.

Bet Mom and Dad doesn’t know about that.

Netflix’s ‘steamy’ movie section is largely made up of titles rated NR. While they do not include traditional porn titles, they may just wet your whistle, Tony.
