Sling TV, the live streaming service owned by Dish, today added nine Discovery channels in its U.S. and Spanish-language lineups.
The streamer added Discovery Channel, Investigation Discovery and TLC to its ‘Blue’ lineup while Investigation Discovery and MotorTrend (formerly Velocity) are now part of Sling’s ‘Orange’ plan.

Sling also placed the American Heroes Channel and Destination American in its Heartland Extra add-on plan, which costs $5 a month in addition to the base package cost.
The Science Channel is now available in Sling’s News Extra add-on plan, which also costs an extra $5 a month, while Discovery en Espanol and Discovery Familia have been added to the ‘Best of Spanish TV’ base and add-on extras.
Sling’s Orange plan starts at $25-a-month and includes ESPN and roughly 30 cable networks. The Blue package costs $25-a-month, and includes more than 40 channels including live network feeds in select markets as well as several Fox channels. You can have both plans for a combined $40 a month.
The live streamer said the cost of both plans will stay the same despite the addition of the Discovery channels.

SlingTV refuses to carry the most popular channel in Cable, Fox News and Fox Business. Strange.
