Q. I am a new 4K TV owner and I have DIRECTV. Any news on what 4K events DIRECTV will have on this month? — Wayne, Fairfax, Virginia.

Wayne, you’re in luck. DIRECTV has just released its November schedule for 4K programming and, as usual, it’s dominated by sports.

The 4K lineup is highlighted by two Notre Dame games. The Fighting Irish will play Florida State on November 10 at 7:30 p.m. ET, and Syracuse on November 17 at 2:30 p.m. ET. Both contests will be live in 4K HDR on DIRECTV’s 4K special events channel, 106.

DIRECTV this month also will air one NBA game live and in 4K (but not HDR): Philadelphia vs Toronto on November 12 at 7:30 p.m. ET. The game will also be on channel 106.

On November 23, the satcaster will offer the pay-per-view match between Tiger Woods and Phil Michelson in 4K HDR (channel 106) at 3 p.m. ET.  Warner Media, which is owned by DIRECTV’s owner, AT&T, has set the event’s price at $19.99, but it’s unknown if DIRECTV will require a higher price for the 4K presentation. Consult your on-screen guide for more information.

Finally in sports, DIRECTV will air the following English Premier League games in 4K (not HDR):

November 11: Manchester City v. Manchester United, 11:15 a.m. ET on channel 106

November 24: Tottenham v. Chelsea City, 12:15 p.m. ET on channel 106

DIRECTV has also scheduled three recorded musical concerts in 4K this month. All will air at 9 p.m. ET on channel 104

November 10 — Jason Aldean
November 17 — Bad Company at Red Rocks (HDR)
November 24 — Leonard Cohen Tribute Concert (HDR)
